Itinerary:

Day 1 Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes

We will collect you from your hotel to go and visit the Hassan II Mosque before departing to Rabat.  In Rabat you can visit the Mechouar of the Royal Palace, the ruins of Chellah, the Mohammed V Mausoleum and the Hassan Tower.  After lunch we will depart to Meknes to arrive in the early evening.
 

Day 2 Meknes – Volubilis – Fes

After breakfast we will take a tour of Meknes including El Hdim square, Bab El Mansour, the massive gate which is the entrance to the old city and the Jewish quarter, the Royal Granaries & the city rampart.  We will then depart via Volubilis, the Roman ruins and Moulay Idriss, the holy town. We will continue onto Fes.  Dinner and accommodation at a traditional riad.
 

Day_3 Fes

You will have a guided tour to discover the medina and the famous Souks of Fes – its narrow cobbled streets are filled with ancient mosques and towering green-glazed minarets..  You will visit the most beautiful palaces and monuments of Fes.  The tour will include a visit to the tannery and the ceramic cooperative to see traditional Moroccan crafts.
 

Day_4 Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Merzouga

After breakfast we will depart for Merzouga through the Middle Atlas region. We’ll drive through Ifrane, the ‘Switzerland’ of Morocco and the cedar forests of Azrou where we can stop to hand feed the monkeys. And continue to Midelt where we will have lunch.  We will then follow the Ziz River through the valley and stop to see the Ziz Gorges on our way to Merzouga.
 

Day_5 Merzouga – Khamlia – Erg Chebbi

Today we will explore the desert region and the marvel that is the Erg Chebbi desert dunes. We’ll make a circuit of the desert dunes where you will have the opportunity to see the nomad’s way of life and the amazing changing contrasts of the desert.  We will visit the ‘black village’ of Khamlia to see the Gnawa musicians. And have a traditional Berber pizza for lunch in the camp of hassan family.  In the afternoon we will ride the camels to see the sunset over the dunes and spend the night in the desert camp. We will have a traditional tagine dinner, drink delicious mint tea, listen to traditional berber music while watching the stars and the rising moon in the amazing Sahara desert.
 

Day_6 Merzouga –Rissane – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

Setting our alarms for an early rise, we’ll catch the spectacular sunrise over the dunes before heading back to the hotel/riad for breakfast and a refreshing shower. Venturing to the Rissane market, we’ll traverse the palm-lined valleys of Tourog and Tinjdad, finally reaching the Todra Gorge. Embarking on a leisurely stroll through the Todra Gorges, we’ll pause for lunch at a local restaurant before proceeding to our accommodation in the Dades Gorge.
 

Day_7 Dades Gorge – El Kelaa Magona – Skoura –  Ouarzazate – Marrakech

After breakfast we will take a walk in the gorge and then take the off road track to see the nomad caves. Continuing our journey through El Kelaa Magona, the Valley of the Roses, and the Skoura oasis, we’ll explore the film studios in Ouarzazate and marvel at the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou en route to Marrakech. Our night will be spent in a local hotel or riad near Jamma el Fna square.
 

Day_8 Marrakech

You will have a guided tour to discover the multiple facets of Marrakech with a stroll in the labyrinth of the narrow streets of the Medina amongst its famous Souks and a visit to the most beautiful palaces and monuments of Marrakech.
 

Day_9 Marrakech – Casablanca

Today we departure to Casablanca airport.
